All ages entry level RPG takes to the stars Kalijor RPG campaign live on IndieGogo (Westminster, CO-May 10, 2013) Kalijor Inc announced today that their multi level all ages “Grow With Me Rpg” role playing game platform funding campaign is live at IndieGoGo. With the rule engine we’ve built, the system can be increased or decreased in complexity, allowing us to build three different versions of the game, all using the same core rules. A tiered system allows fans from ages 4 to 40 the ability to enjoy a vivid world set in a far off future today, tomorrow and beyond. Paul Lell Creator explains, ” Think Firefly meets Middle Earth via the Matrix.” Want to donate to the campaign? Visit http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/kalijor-a-role-playing-game-for-all-ages. About the World Of Kalijor: The human race has moved out among the planets to escape a devastated Earth. Massive corporations control every aspect of life. While nobody who is willing to play by the rules will go hungry, or without a home, there are those who strive to take back their independence from the corporate Conglomerate. Their battles to determine the fate of the human race take place in the real world, in cyber-space, and in the virtual world of Kalijor, a massively multiplayer online RPG that has become a hub of commerce and communication for a humanity spread out across the stars. About the “Grow With Me” Kalijor Rules System: Young kids (Ages 4-7) can play the game (with parental assistance and supervision) and learn to recognize numbers, do basic math, and begin to establish and hone critical thinking and imaginative problem solving skills. Older kids(Ages 7-13) we add in another layer of logistics, giving them more attributes, more bonuses, and more granular control over their character’s progression and advancement. But we still keep the game quick and easy by not bogging them down with the minutia of character generation, tracking experience, leveling up, etc. Character progression is tracked more like a video game with advancement handled by upgrading equipment. For older kids and adults alike, the full version of the game is a robust and feature-rich system that allows for full character development, more bonuses, skill progression and acquisition, and more.
Real Interface Studios P.O. BOX 2174 Union, NJ 07083 www.RealinterfaceStudios.com FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Mike McDonough - Editor / Marketing Director / RIS Comics Contact@RealinterfaceStudios.com JTF-3 Counter Ops goes digital May 2013, with the explosion of the mobile Tablet market, the digital comic book revolution has been steadily increasing its exodus away from the hardcopy paper format at a rapid rate and forobvious reasons. Comic fans love being able to read all their collection from one device, and the prices are so much more affordable because of no overhead printing costs for content-creators. Indie-creators are especially grateful for the ability to sell directly to fans, bypassing the obstacles of going through the bureaucratic channels of major publishers. Real Interface Studios, a comic book indie-studio based in NY/NJ, is re-releasing the first comic book series their company created a decade ago as a digital graphic novel for Apple’s iPad and other tablets, JTF-3 Counter Ops. Originally published in 2003, the complete collection of the 5 issue comic book mini-series is sold as a one single download containing 135 full-size digitally colored pages of non-stop action at a very affordable price! Joint Task Force 3 is a story about a U.N.-sanctioned group composed of the most elite Counter-Terrorist operatives and Law-Enforcement officers from around the world. Attempting to thwart a Terrorist organization from acquiring weapons of mass destruction, JTF-3 soon find themselves caught in a crossfire. Can they outthink or outgun a threat to U.S. allies that may have domestic ties? A cautionary tale that may prove too close to reality to pass as fiction… Sheena McNeil from Sequential Tart reviews: “The cover is just a taste of the good art in Counter Ops. The battle is especially well drawn with hand-to-hand as well as gun fighting. And things are explained in the midst of it all which makes it seem relatively real in time instead of having to read four pages of straight dialogue then have nothing but battle. The plot as well as the order of presentation within the story are well thought-out. It is energetic with action, brains, and (of course) sexiness. The story pulls you in from page one. A huge bank robbery has gone horribly wrong and the Joint Task Force 3 has stepped in to help handle the situation. However, they don’t all agree on how it should be handled so when Sergeant Konoe acts, all Hell breaks lose. Meanwhile, two new recruits have arrived, and they’re getting thrown into the fray already. This energetic story is well written and moves along at a perfect pace. The layout is excellent, and the story contains a nice blend of action, humor, and mystery to keep any reader interested through the whole issue.” - SequentialTart.com JTF-3 Counter Ops the complete collection is available to read as a single graphic novel on the Apple iPad using the iBooks app’s gorgeous comic book page-scrolling-features for only $3.99. A soft launch of the book occurred at SPX 2012 but Baylis wanted to make the official launch of issue #5 timed with his new website and in a way that no one could ignore. 16 pages, four stories, full color cover/interior and at $2.00 it makes a great intro book for everyone. Want a free taste? Peek at issue #5 here: http://http://sobuttons.com/previews/ . You can visit Jonathan in person May 11th and 12th at table #246 at the prestigious Toronto Comic Arts Festival. About So Buttons #5 So Buttons #5 features a tribute cover to the first Kirby book Baylis ever read, Cap #212, by Tom Scioli (Godland, American Barbarian) and interior work by Noah Van Sciver, who’s getting great buzz right now because of his highly-regarded Lincoln GN for Fantagraphics called “The Hypo”. Also featured are Thomas Boatwright (Zeke Deadwood), Lisa Rosalie Eisenberg (I Cut My Hair), and Paul Westover (Woody After Hours). Stories Include: So…Extracted (art by Paul Westover) So…Caffeinated (art by Thomas Boatwright) So…Escalated (art by Noah Van Sciver) So…Brisk (art by Lisa Rosalie Eisenberg) What reviewers are saying: “Maybe the best quality of Baylis as a creator is his affable storytelling; you just can’t *not* like the writing. He also reels in the artistic talent here…. Grade A.”- Poopsheet–Justin Giampiaoli “ It’s all as good one would expect from previous issues of the series, another chance to have a visit with a pal and hear some of his stories.” Warren-Peace.Blogspot.com-Matthew Brady “So Buttons #5, by Jonathan Baylis and various artists. Baylis continues to improve both as a writer and a self-publisher, as this comic looks attractive without being too slick.
